What is The Drink Show?
The Drink Show is a curated tasting and education experience, showcasing premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks through guided tastings, brand engagement, and masterclasses.
Who is The Drink Show for?
The Drink Show is for drinks lovers, hospitality professionals, retailers, and anyone curious about how great drinks are made and enjoyed.
How does The Drink Show work? What should I expect?
Drinks are showcased by brand at stands around the room in an exhibition-style format. You are free to wander at your own pace, meet the makers, ask questions, and enjoy guided tastings. Food and water are available between tastings.
How long are the tasting sessions?
Your ticket includes the start time and duration of your tasting session. This information is also available on I Wanna Ticket.
Please note:
Late arrivals will not be allowed to stay for the following session
Final samples are served 15 minutes before the session ends to allow time to finish drinks, make purchases, and exit the venue
How do I buy tickets?
All ticket sales are facilitated through I Wanna Ticket and can be purchased via The Drink Show website.
Is the event 18+?
Yes. The Drink Show is strictly 18+. Valid photo ID may be required on entry.
What does RSA mean at The Drink Show?
RSA stands for Responsible Service of Alcohol. We practice RSA at all Drink Shows to ensure alcohol is served safely and responsibly. This means:
Alcohol is not served to minors (under 18)
Alcohol is not served to intoxicated persons
Staff are trained to identify and manage intoxication
Service complies with NSW liquor laws
Drunken or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone deemed intoxicated may be escorted from the venue at the organiser’s discretion.
Are tastings included with my ticket?
Yes. Complimentary tastings at exhibitor stands are included in your ticket, subject to RSA and sampling limits. Exhibitors may refuse service at any time.
Does it cost extra for tastings?
No. Tastings at exhibitor stands are included in your ticket. Masterclasses incur an additional fee.
How much alcohol can I sample?
Samples are small, controlled, and designed for tasting - not drinking - in line with NSW liquor laws. There is no set limit; however, intoxicated persons will be removed from the event.
Can I taste all the drinks?
All drinks are available for tasting; however, security and staff will monitor intoxication levels. Our liquor licence does not permit intoxicated patrons to remain in the venue. Please drink responsibly.
Are bottles available for purchase?
Yes. Bottles may be purchased directly from distillers to enjoy at home.
Bottles must not be opened or consumed at the Show.
Can I store bottles purchased at the event?
For safety and security reasons, we cannot store items during tasting sessions. You are welcome to bring your own trolley bag - many attendees have found this useful at previous shows.
Will water be available?
Yes. Water stations will be available throughout the tasting sessions.
Are non-alcoholic drinks available?
The Drink Show may feature a selection of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options.
Do I need to book tastings or masterclasses?
Yes. Masterclasses have limited capacity and require pre-booking and an additional ticket.
Can I attend just a masterclass?
No. You must purchase both a general admission ticket and a masterclass ticket.
Can I bring a designated driver or non-drinking friend?
Absolutely. Non-drinkers are welcome. Please note that ticket pricing is the same for all attendees.
Is responsible drinking enforced?
Yes. RSA-trained staff, controlled sample sizes, free water, and clear signage are in place throughout the event.
Is there parking at the event?
As this is a licensed event, we strongly recommend using public transport to and from the venue.
What is the closest railway station?
Kiama Station
Kiama Station is located in the heart of the Kiama township and is the closest station to Kiama Pavilion. Trains run regularly from Sydney to Kiama.
Is there a dress code?
Smart casual attire is requested. No open footwear, singlets, or dirty clothing. Please arrive on time to maximise your experience.
Can I cancel or change my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, you may:
Transfer your ticket to another session
Transfer your ticket to another person
Transfer your ticket to another regional Drink Show
What if I lose my ticket?
No problem. Please advise staff at the door and provide the last name used for the booking.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Possibly, but only if the session is not sold out. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance, as sessions often sell out.
Can I bring children?
No. All attendees must be 18+ and hold a valid ticket.
