What is The Drink Show?
The Drink Show is a interstate touring series. It is a wine-led tasting and discovery experience featuring premium wines, craft spirits and selected artisan producers.
The NSW edition is hosted in Newcastle - the gateway city to the Hunter Valley - the event brings together outstanding producers from across the state within a structured tasting environment designed for discovery, connection and meaningful interaction with the makers.
The Drink Show is a tasting and discovery event - not a high-volume drinking festival, but a structured tasting experience designed for discovery and conversation.
Who should attend?
The Show is designed for curious drinks enthusiasts, collectors, hospitality professionals, and anyone who enjoys discovering premium wines and craft spirits.
Is the event 18+?
Yes.
The Drink Show is a strictly 18+ licensed event.
Valid photo identification may be required on entry.
What does my ticket include?
Your ticket provides entry to the event session and access to tastings across participating exhibitor stands, subject to RSA guidelines.
Can I buy bottles to take home?
Yes.
Many producers offer direct-to-consumer sales so guests can purchase wines, spirits and other products to take home, subject to licensing conditions.
What is the difference between Trade and Consumer sessions?
The Trade Preview is reserved for hospitality professionals, buyers, distributors and accredited media.
The Consumer Session is open to the public and offers the full tasting experience.

Why should we exhibit?
The Drink Show provides producers with a direct platform to connect with engaged consumers, hospitality professionals and buyers.
The format is also designed to support brand discovery and direct to consumer sales within a controlled tasting environment.
What types of exhibitors are you looking for?

How many exhibitors will be there?
Each state edition is intentionally limited to approximately 55 exhibitors to maintain a comfortable tasting environment and balanced category mix.
Can interstate producers exhibit at the NSW Edition?
No.
The Newcastle event has been designed to only showcase New South Wales producers under the Legends Global (Newcastle)Pty Ltd licensing.
The proposed Canberra event in October will host the National Drink Show - where exhibitors will be welcome from interstate.

Is there a trade session?
Yes.
The Trade Preview session for hospitality professionals, buyers and industry guests.
Who qualifies as Trade?
Trade attendees may include:
• venue owners
• bar managers
• restaurant buyers
• distributors
• retailers
• accredited media
How are Trade guests invited?
Trade guests are invited through hospitality networks, industry outreach and targeted invitations.
How can venues or buyers attend?
Trade professionals may apply through the website or attend via industry invitation tickets.

How does the tasting format work?
Guests move freely around the Show floor and taste products directly from exhibitors.
Samples are served in small tasting portions in accordance with Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines.
Many exhibitors offer complimentary tastings, while some premium or limited products may require official event vouchers.
Are tastings included?
Yes.
Most exhibitors offer complimentary tastings as part of the event experience.
Some premium, rare or limited products may require tasting vouchers, that can be brought from the Organisers Desk.
Do I need vouchers to taste?
Not generally. Most exhibitors will offer complimentary tastings.
Some exhibitors may use a voucher system - but this is their call. These vouchers will be able to be purchased at the Organisers Desk.
Is this a festival?
No.
The Drink Show is a structured tasting event positioned between a trade showcase and a premium consumer tasting experience.
The format prioritises discovery, conversation, responsible tasting, and direct interaction with producers.
What does my Ticket Include?
Your ticket provides entry to the event session and access to the tasting floor.
Exhibitors may offer complimentary tastings, voucher tastings or premium pours depending on the product.
All service of alcohol is subject to RSA guidelines.
Why is the Show limited in exhibitor numbers?
Exhibitor participation is intentionally limited to maintain tasting quality, protect category balance and ensure a premium experience for both guests and producers.
How many Shows run each year?
The Drink Show operates as a touring state-based series.
Only one official edition is held in each state per year.
The NSW Edition is hosted annually in Newcastle.
The NSW Edition is limited to New South Wales producers under the organiser-held licensing framework.
Future editions will be held in other states, and a National Edition is planned for Canberra, where producers from across Australia will be eligible to exhibit.

Where is the venue?
Newcastle Exhibition & Convention Centre
Browns Road, Broadmeadow NSW
Broadmeadow Station is approximately a 3–4 minute walk from the venue.
Is food available?
Yes.
Food will be available from the venue café and selected food vendors.
What should I bring?
Please bring:
• your ticket (digital or printed)
• valid photo ID
• a tote bag if you plan to purchase bottles
What happens if the event sells out?
Ticket numbers are strictly capped.
Once allocation is exhausted, ticket sales close.
The next NSW Edition will take place the following year back in Newcastle.
